Plasma Skin Resurfacing

(Fibroblast Therapy)

  • Plasma resurfacing—it’s also called fibroblast therapy create tiny injuries in the skin that then stimulate a wound-healing response, and ultimately result in collagen production and mild tissue tightening. This treatment is based on creation of series of minute dots placed adjacent to the tension lines on the epidermis layer, this process triggers an instant contraction and tightening of the skin fibers to create a lifting, remodeling, and rejuvenating effect. This method can be used to treat specific areas of concern without damaging the surrounding tissue or applying unwanted heat energy to them. Plasma is much less invasive than laser.

  • Plasma energy treatments are often used for those in their 30s as prejuvenation and  older patients with signs of aging like crepey skin, fine lines and wrinkles that need a more powerful resurfacing approach. And, like many laser treatments, plasma is generally only used on lighter skin tones—Fitzpatrick Types 1 through 4—because theoretically it can risk of hyperpigmentation of the skin.

  • To minimize puffiness, hooded lids and droopy under-eye bags, plasma resurfacing can be done on the upper and lower eyelids. Patients can typically see an improvement for up to 12 months, or longer with a repeat sessions. Another area on the face where plasma treatments can smooth and tone is around the mouth for the so-called “barcode lines,” the little vertical lines where lipstick bleeds.

  • Plasma Skin Resurfacing provides an effective non-surgical saggy or droopy eyelift correction, non-surgical neck lift, wrinkles tensioning, scars treatment including acne scars, and remove unwanted skin irregularities (moles, freckles, skin tags, sun spots, age spots) The effects typically last for 4-6 months. Results varies from clients' skin wrinkling. Deeper wrinkles requires more than 1 session.

  • You may experience a brief, mild pinching sensation during the Plasma resurfacing treatment however it is very mild and tolerable. Prior to plasma resurfacing, a topical anesthetic will be applied to the treatment area and left on for up to an hour. All aesthetic treatments have some sort of downtime to get results, but plasma recovery is a little longer than microneedling, approximately five to 10 days depending on the area. Patients can expect some swelling, peeling and scabbing and it feels like a sunburn the first night. Days after feels utterly fine. A post care skin care regime need to be strictly follows to avoid further skin irritations.

  • Although each client will have a customized treatment plan that is appropriate for their individual skin care needs, the common number of treatments is three sessions spaced 6 months apart.
